The producers set US two main challenges. We had to commit to completing our part of the renovation extremely quickly ,and to minimise the cost to the charity.
We succeeded on both counts, with invaluable help from SIG Distribution and ZENTIA in sourcing all the materials required and by offering our labour and management free of charge, which in these ‘challenging’ times was a great effort by all involved and very much appreciated by the charity.
Under normal working conditions a project of this nature would have taken around 7 days to complete, but in true Anneka style we had to complete it in 36 hours which seemed impossible at the time but it’s amazing what can be achieved when there is a great cause behind it.
The rapid installation was critical to the programme as following on behind us were the team installing the individual kennel units, so any delay on our part would have jeopardised the completion of the whole project.
Pictured right: Challenge Anneka involved the host being given a task to accomplish, with no advance warning, within just a few days. Usually in aid of a charitable cause. She would have to complete the challenge by persuading companies and people to contribute their time and resources for free.
